In 1985 Danny West was one of the first people in the UK to be diagnosed as HIV positive, aged 24. Twenty five years later Danny is thriving as a successful businessman, whose dedication to learning earned him an Adult Learners' Week award in 2009. Logic, 22, grew up in the London Borough of Lewisham. In this podcast he talks about his unstable family background and the experience of growing up in a disadvantaged area of London, as a young black man. Logic now combines youth work and music/lyrics to inspire other young people. In his mid-teens Lyric was motivated to step away the stereotype and better himself, in this podcast he explains how and why he did this and how he's committed to helping other young people to do the same.
